Interactive Data Vault learning platform with gamification
What it is
Built a 14-chapter interactive learning platform for Data Vault 2.0, SQL, dbt, EU compliance, and Python — entirely with Claude Code. The design integrates multiple UX and learning science frameworks: Octalysis gamification (Free Spirit player type, white-hat core drives), Don Norman's Design of Everyday Things (affordances, anti-affordances, system image verification), Laws of UX (Hick's Law, Miller's Law, Peak-End Rule, Aesthetic-Usability Effect), and an 8-method learning science protocol (Feynman technique, productive failure, elaborative interrogation, confidence calibration). The visual layer uses a custom "32nd-century programmable matter" design system with glassmorphism, canvas-based particle constellations with mouse physics, Apple-inspired GSAP scroll-driven animations (pinning, parallax, scroll-scrubbing), and a semantic color architecture. Gamification includes a tiered achievement system, RPG-style inventory, quest log with scroll-sync, and sound design — all grounded in Octalysis drive mapping and player psychology. 100+ exercises across 14 chapters, deployed on Netlify with full mobile adaptation.
